Welcome to our site. FOP is a registered nonprofit in the state of New York and has been supporting the Community of Porus, Manchester, JM for over 20 years.

Purpose of The Friends of Porus Association Inc.

Provide charitable assistance to the senior citizens and other needy citizens of the town of Porus.

Provide assistance for community projects.

Provide financial support for schools and other educational activities through gifts, scholarships, subsidies, grants, and awards. Provide other non-financial support such as workshops, training, sports gear, books, and other educational materials.

Promote and encourage a high level of loyalty and pride for the town of Porus among the members of the Association by organizing social events, reunions, and fundraising events

Thirty (30) year anniversary Edition : The Friends of Porus will host their annual charity Banquet November 21, 2026 back where is all started, Bronx NY. Come spend time with current and past members of Porus Diaspora in Bronx NY. Come celebrate as we recognized the hard working members of our community and our loyal patrons.

Please tell your friends and family in the tri-state area to join us and, please stay tuned to this page for more details. This is a fundraising event, and we kindly ask for a contribution if you won’t be able to attend.
